PRESSURE PARBOILING

As the name suggests, Pressure Parboiling of Rice is partial boiling of rice, which is a unique process for increasing the quality of the rice. The rice gets gelatinized during the parboiling process. Pre-cooking of Rice still in paddy form takes place without affecting its size or shape. The paddy is first hydrated by soaking it in water and then it is heated with steam to cook it and finally it is dried. Due to the harder kernel structure, parboiled paddy/rice is more resistant to storage damages. It becomes more resistant to physical damages even during the milling process, resulting in a much higher head rice yield.

Nextech Grain Processing & Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Brings a well-established, tried tested, and proven pressure parboiling technology to India from STUDIO TECNICO APPIANI of Italy.

Advantages Of Pressure Parboiling:

Under the Pressure parboiling process, the paddy is exposed to steam inside a (fully enclosed) pressure vessel at a certain pressure. This significantly reduces the soaking time by up to 50%. This translates to almost double the capacity in any given size of the plant or in other words, a smaller plant (i.e. with about half the quantity of soaking tanks).

The grain moisture remains lesser by some percentage points with lesser soaking time which results in lesser drying time during the drying process and hence lesser steam consumption, which directly translates into savings in terms of surplus husk free for sale hence increased revenue for the millers.

The continuous cooking in the pressure vessel allows for a sustained uniformity and higher flexibility to adapt to any desired rice colour (white/creamy/golden) required by the market.
No odor developed in the process unlike the sella odor in conventional plants.

Higher wall thicknesses and sturdy design guarantee a long life span for the plant

Pressure Cooking:

Pressure cooking through fully automated & controlled continuous pressure cookers provides complete flexibility to produce bright or golden color parboiled rice. The world market requires various shades of parboiled rice, including dark golden colors, which can only be produced under pressure.

Product Flow:

All grains have the same exposure time guaranteeing a homogeneous result. The world market requires rice of homogeneous color and most millers-suppliers find it hard to achieve a uniform color due to real mass flow in their vessel design in their conventional parboiling systems.

Real-Time Process Control:

With a fully automated plant, including load cells at the day bin and the cookers, remote temperature and pressure gauges allow real-time control of the process and full automation for constant & uniform product quality as the world market requires a constant quality even within bigger lots.

Wear Resistance:

Wear-resistant & speed-controlled Airlocks provide Longer maintenance intervals.

Complete Package:

Complete integrated engineering package to guarantee trouble-free plant installation and rice processing.

Apart from the pressure cooking the most important advantage is the Automation of the complete parboiling process. Although the automation of the water circulation system has already been adopted by some of the Indian Rice Mill Business owners for complete automation of the process i.e. soaking and pressure cooking shall be a big advantage as it would eliminate the manual intervention and the desired uniformity of color could well be achieved. rice mill consultant

All the above directly translates into money-saving.
